SDF’s mission to make the lives of data engineers and data analysts better by building a groundbreaking SQL engine with a built-in Semantic Layer and automatic tools for data governance and privacy. We are rapidly growing to meet our goals of making an immediate impact as a values-driven company with a distributed team. Our team is currently distributed across Seattle, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and New York.

We are looking for a full-stack engineer eager to take on large challenges within our greenfield product roadmap. As one of our early hires, you will partner closely with our founders and other key engineers on the direction of our product and drive business-critical technical decisions. You will have the opportunity to ship major product initiatives that fundamentally change the way that Data Analysts and Data Engineers work.

We are working to re-define how Data Engineers and Data Analysts approach their work. With this, there are multiple areas of challenges at all levels of the stack. Immediate challenges include:

• Re-design and building managed SDF, allowing for users to better interact with their data and perform actions through a cloud-native, UI first way.
• Scaling components in relation to an Chat AI enabled feature around developing constraints for business logic users can implement on their warehouse and system.
• Building beautiful, intuitive, easy to use software for organizations of all sizes.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or associated area of studies
• At least 2 years of experience in Full-Stack software engineering (strong fundamentals with a frontend framework)
• 1+ years of experience with AWS or GCP
• Experience with TypeScript / JavaScript and REACT, svelte, etc.
• An aptitude for how web infrastructure works to develop high-quality internal developer and external user experiences
• Interest in the data domain, especially knowledge of the general data landscape and other tooling/providers
• Experience maintaining a high quality bar for design, correctness, and testing
• Experience implementing major product initiatives is a plus.
